X-alt Quartet is a southern gospel group that has been in existence for five years, starting as 5 guys trying to get a song together to sing at a talent show at church. From there they have become a quartet of Jason Laule, Jake Campanello, Eric Garrett and Steve Bell.
They have performed at the Forney and Wylie Opry, several prisons, and churches.

After putting together some patriotic songs, including the National Anthem, they have sung for the Texas Rangers, The Fort Worth Blue Sox and several county Republican meeings including Kaufman, Bell and Collin counties.  They have also performed at a national seniors conference in Branson Missouri.

 Meet the Group

 Jason Laule

Jason, the tenor of the group was born in Linden, TX and raised in Queen City, TX.

His father was a minister of music at New Hope Baptist Church in Bloomburg TX. As a result, Jason has been in choirs since he was old enough to talk.

Jason has been in choirs that have sung the National Anthem at a New York Mets baseball game as well as at Walt Disney World. In 1993 he was a member of the Texas Baptist All-State Choir.

Jason and his wife Brandy have two children - Trenton and Kimberlyn.  They live in Forney TX.

 Jake Campanello

Jake is the lead singer of X-alt.

He was born in upstate New York and moved to Texas in 1980.

At the age of 24 Jake began singing in churches.  For a time, he had stopped singing altogether.  Through the encouragement of his wife and others he started singing again.  We're glad he did!

He is one of the original members of X-alt.

He and his wife, Maggie live in Forney TX

 Eric Garrett

Eric began singing in the third grade, when his mother “volunteered” him to sing in the school choir. Eric was not happy at all, but did as his mother wished.

Eric has been singing in choirs ever since, with the exception of the 9th grade when he was “too cool” to sing in choir.

Eric is the baritone of X-alt and we’re glad he decided choirs were “cool.”

Eric and his wife Rhonda reside in Forney with 4 of their children still at home - Chris, Regina, Amanda and Alyssa

 Steve Bell

Steve was raised in Canada. His family sang as a gospel quartet, he sang soprano. Since then, his voice has changed and now he sings the bass for X-alt.

Music has always been a major part of Steve’s life, from choirs, to band to gospel groups.

He moved to Texas in 1983 and is one of the original members of X-alt.

Steve and his wife Rebekah live in Mesquite TX.

 X-alt  Quartet  Mission  Statement

Each member of X-alt recognizes that what talent we have have been given to us by God to accomplish His
purpose in our lives and to glorify Him. This is what we seek to do in our concerts and performances.
It is our desire to present God’s simple plan of salvation through the music that we sing, so that those who
do not know Jesus Christ as Savior may be introduced to Him and His love for them.

We also realize that there is a ministry to those who are already saved and so we sing about God’s
provisions, companionship, grace and love toward us in this life, and then of the hope that lies before
us, of Christ’s
coming and our eternal heavenly home.

People often ask us – “How much do you charge to do a concert?” Jake summed it up best and the group
is in agreement – we are not looking for an offering, just an opportunity. X-alt Quartet is a ministry that belongs to

God and He is sufficient to meet our needs. All of us have full time jobs and enjoy singing. We are not looking
for an income from ministering to people. We have found that God is able to provide through the
generosity of people who believe in what we are doing. The donations and love offerings, that God has
blessed us with have always been sufficient to meet the financial needs of X-alt.
